Port Louis is the capital of Mauritius and is located in the Indian Ocean. With a population of around 170 000, the city is the largest as well as the cultural and economic center of the country. There are many attractions that you will be able to discover on a trip to the city. Visit the Meenakshi Hindu temple or the UNESCO World Heritage Immigration Depot, the remains of which used to be a camp for Indian laborers in the 19th century and should be on top of your to-visit list.

Pointe des Galets is the name of a cape which extends to the northwest of the island Reunion Island, which is located in the Indian Ocean to the east of Madagascar. The city of le Port lies on the cape.

Antsiranana, also known as Diego Suarez, from the name of the Portuguese navigator who visited the bay in 1543, is situated to the extreme north of Madagascar. Its name was changed to Antsiranana in 1975, but many still call it Diego. It has one of the world's most beautiful natural deep-water harbours and is loved by tourists despite its remote location.

Nosy Be is an island about 10 km off the northwest coast of Madagascar. Literally translated, the island's name means "big island" and is of volcanic origin. Thanks to its beautiful beaches and wild nature, Nosy Be is a known paradise for divers, boaters, sailors and fishermen.

Richards Bay is located in the province of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa. The city has many sports facilities and a fantastic landscape with numrous bays and lagoons. With around 737 600 inhabitants, the city of Port Elizabeth is the fifth largest city in South Africa and is situated directly on the Indian Ocean. Visit the large leisure complex 'The Boardwalk Casino & Entertainment World' and the many museums that can be found there or go shopping in the huge shopping center of Greenacres.

Mossel Bay or 'Shell Bay', as it is also known, is sitauted on the Indian Ocean, east of Cape Town. You have the opportunity to observe whales from the shore or to visit the Jukani Wildlife Ranch.

Cape Town is the third largest city of South Africa with a population of almost 3.5 million and has been the city of the South African Parliament since 2004. Between October and march, Cape Town is a popular attraction for many tourism which is shown by their growing numbers in recent years. This in turn has made Cape town an important economic sector for the country. One of the favourite sites of tourists is the Table Mountain but the city has plenty more to offer. Museums, historic buildings, Castles and the oldest surviving building in South Africa are all options worth considering.
