Tour Itinerary

‣ Day 1

• Upon arrival in Kota Kinabalu airport, be met and transferred to your hotel for check-in.

‣ Day 2

• Morning transfer to Poring Hot Springs, with a stop at Nabalu village. Enjoy local fruits, shop for handicrafts, observe wildlife on the canopy walkway, and soak in the hot springs. Explore Kinabalu National Park. Evening transfer to a local restaurant for traditional Malay dishes. (B, L, D)

‣ Day 3

• Half-day tour of Kota Kinabalu, visiting Yayasan Sabah building, Phu Thou Se Chinese Temple, Sabah State Mosque, and Sabah Museum. Evening at leisure. (B, L)

‣ Day 4

• Early morning transfer to the airport for flight to Sandakan. Visit Sepilok Orangutan Sanctuary and Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre. Enjoy a boat cruise up the Lower Kinabatangan River, arriving at Abai Jungle Lodge for lunch and an evening wildlife cruise. Guided night walk. (B, L, D)

Please note: Prepare a small bag for the next three nights. Your main luggage will be stored at the hotel in Kota Kinabalu.

• Morning boat trip at Pitas Lake, breakfast, then cruise upriver to Sukau. Check-in to your lodge, lunch, and an afternoon river cruise on the Kinabatangan River to Menanggul River. Evening return to lodge for dinner. (B, L, D)

• Early morning boat trip at Ox Bow Lake. Breakfast, then depart to Gomantong Caves in the afternoon. Explore the caves, return to lodge for dinner. (B, L, D)

‣ Day 7

• After breakfast, depart lodge and transfer to Sandakan by boat. Lunch and transfer to the airport for flight back to Kota Kinabalu. Transfer to hotel for check-in. (B, L)

• After breakfast and check-out, be met by an English-speaking assistant and transferred to the airport for onward flight. (B)
