Thira is a Greek island located on the South Aegean Volcanic Belt. In the western part of the island, one sees clearly that is the remnant of a volcano. The small port town of Nafplio is situated on the Greek Peloponnese Peninsula. Briefly, it was even capital of Greece. Visitors should see the Vouleftikon, the location of Greece's first parliament.
