Pointe-à-Pitre is the capital of the French overseas department of Guadeloupe, and thus belongs to the European Union. Together with Martinique, Guadeloupe forms the French Antilles.

Antigua is an island in the West Indies in the Caribbean region and it is the main island of the country of Antigua and Barbuda. Antigua means "ancient" in Spanish and was named by Christopher Columbus. In 1784 Admiral Horatio Nelson sailed to Antigua where he found warm, steady winds, a coastline of safe harbours, and a protective coral reef: the perfect environment to establish Great Britain's most important Caribbean base. Over 200 years later the same characteristics that attracted the Royal Navy have transformed Antigua in one of the Caribbean's premier tourist destinations.

The small capital of the British Virgin Islands is located on the main island of Tortola and has about 9000 inhabitants. The city was founded in 1648 by Dutch settlers. The town has been destroyed on many occasions due to coming under siege. The oldest buildings that remain now date back to 1840. If you're looking to explore the city, the Botanical Garden is a good place to start. Then, you can make your way to the ferry terminal of the city where many beautiful yachts drop anchor.

La Romana is a bustling port city on the southeastern coast of the Dominican Republic. Once a major hub for sugar processing, La Romana is now a major tourist town. The biggest draw for cruise passengers is Casa de Campo, a vast seaside resort that offers tennis, horseback riding, and the number-one ranked golf course in the Caribbean. Those who don't want to spend the day at a resort may enjoy a guided walking tour of the old town, scouring the local markets in search of the island's famous pale-blue gemstone Larimar, or relaxing by the beach with a cocktail in hand.

Ocho Rios offers visitors a number of attractions such as Dunn's River Falls and the Craft Market. The small town that only has about 10,000 inhabitants, is visited every year by just under 400,000 tourists.

The Samana Peninsula is located in the east of the Dominican Republic. In January and February, Samaná is particularly popular for whale watching.

Catalina Island, is situated off the mainland of the Dominican Republic, in sight of La Romana. Main attractions are the island's unspoiled nature and deserted white sand beaches. The area is rich in coral reefs, as well as various bird and fish species.
