The Japanese city of Yokohama is known as an industrial and commercial city and is part of the metropolitan area of Tokyo. After Tokyo, Yokohama is the second largest city in Japan. The geographical position of the city is on the bay of Tokyo which adds to the charm and atmosphere of the city. Yokohama is particularly popular due to its lively arts scene and impressive bay area.

The port city of Keelung, Taiwan is home to the second most important port in the country. The Keelung Ghost Festival is particularly well-well known and reflects the culture of the country. Boat trips to Keelung Island are a popular tourist activity. The island is essentially a pyramid shaped mountain peak, which from the top offers stunning views over Keelung and the harbour. Heping Island, connected to the city by bridge, is the location of the fish market which offers the freshest local seafood. Of historical interest is the Ershawan Fort, a chinese built fortification.

Oshima Island or Izu Oshima is the largest of the Izu Islands, a group of volcanic islands under the administration of Tokyo. It is located about 100 km south of Japan's capital. At the heart of the island is the 758 m tall Mount Mihara, an active volcano- the source of several interesting sites and various hot springs on the island.
