Hotel check out, Own transfer to the Airport for Onward flight to Kota Kinabalu. On arrival into Kota Kinabalu airport, you will be met by an English-speaking assistant and transferred to your hotel for check-in. Rest of Day at Leisure No meals

This morning, transfer with an English-speaking guide to the Poring Hot Springs, stopping en-route at Nabalu village to taste the local fruits and shop for local handicrafts. On arrival at the springs, observe the wildlife on the canopy walkway and take a dip in one of the soothing, hot mineral springs set in the beautifully landscaped gardens. Afterwards, continue to Kinabalu National Park to explore the beautiful mountain gardens, home to many species of orchids, pitcher plants, birds, insects and butterflies. This evening, transfer to a local restaurant to enjoy traditional Malay dishes for dinner. B,L,D

Today, enjoy a half-day tour of Kota Kinabalu with an English-speaking guide. Begin with a visit to Yayasan Sabah (Sabah Foundation) building before heading to Phu Thou Se Chinese Temple. Next, visit the Sabah State Mosque and the Sabah Museum, home to fine exhibits that chronicle Sabah's fascinating historical past and rich cultural heritage. Later today, return to your hotel for an evening at leisure. B,L

Flight to Sandakan with major airline

After breakfast, transfer to the airport to board your flight to Sandakan (flight included). On arrival, transfer to the Sepilok Orangutan Sanctuary where captive orangutans are reintroduced to the wild. You will be able to observe them at their feeding stations, then proceed to the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation (BSBCC). This centre rescues captured sun bears and focuses on the conservation, welfare habitation and education of this species. Afterwards, proceed to the jetty in Sandakan and embark on a speedboat journey up the Lower Kinabatangan River to Abai Jungle Lodge for check-in and lunch. Next, enjoy another river cruise in search of Borneo's wildlife and birds before returning to the lodge for dinner. After dinner, go on a guided night walk around the Lodge’s nature boardwalk and search for insects, birds and other wildlife. Please note: You will need to prepare a small bag for the following three nights at Abai Jungle Lodge and the Kinabatangan Riverside Lodge. B,L,D

Early this morning, depart on a boat trip for bird watching and wildlife viewing at the nearby Pitas Lake before returning to the lodge for breakfast. Afterwards, cruise upriver to Sukau to the Kinabatangan Riverside Lodge for check-in and lunch. Later, embark on another river cruise for more wildlife viewing. Finally, return to the lodge for dinner. B,L,D

Rise early this morning to discover the wildlife at Oxbow Lake before returning to the lodge for breakfast. Enjoy some time at leisure before lunch before paying a visit to the Gomantong Caves. Explore this fascinating cave, home to millions of swiftlets and bats. Afterwards, return to the lodge for dinner. B,L,D

After breakfast and check-out, transfer back to Sandakan by boat and make a stop at Abai Jungle lodge en-route before continuing the journey down river. On arrival back in Sandakan, enjoy lunch followed by a transfer to the airport for your flight back to Kota Kinabalu (flight included). On arrival into Kota Kinabalu airport, transfer to your hotel for check-in. B,L
