The emirate of Dubai is home to around 1.8 million inhabitants. The majority of the population lives in the city. Dubai is known for its modern and futuristic projects. From skyscrapers on manmade islands, to amusement parks, there is hardly anything that does not exist in this city. Dubai offers endless beautiful beaches, excellent water sports, desert safaris and an almost immeasurable range of shopping facilities.

Fujairah is the capital city of the emirate of Fujairah, located on the east coast of the United Arab Emirates in the Gulf of Oman. The city is the business and commercial centre of the emirate. Although, tourist attractions are few and far between, Fujairah is worth a visit if only to see the new massive, gleaming white Sheikh Zayed Mosque - second largest in the UAE or the emirate's first shopping centre - Fujairah City Centre Mall. The city is also a great starting point for the emirate's exploration.

The Indian port city of Mumbai, known as Bombay until 1996, is located on the island of Salsette, off the west coast of Maharashtra. Mumbai is not only India's economic center, it is also one of the most populous cities in the world with an estimated 14 million residents. The city has a wide variety of cultural eventy. It is known to be home to many artists of classic and modern indian music as well theaters and dance performances. Some of the most popular attractions include the Fort quarter in which many banks and companies have been established, as well as the neighbouring quarter of the Old Town. Off the coast, on a small island, you will also find the impressive Haji Ali Dargah Mosque.

Goa is the smallest state in India and is located centrally along the west coast of India. The surrounding area of Goa boasts a diverse landscape with its palm-lined beaches and emerald jungle. However, Goa does not only count on its nature to impress, visit some of the many impressive and well-perserved churches with their gilded altars!

The Indian port city of Mangalore is located in a picturesque lagoon on the Arabian Sea. Mangalore is heavily dotted with coconut plantations and can easily be mistaken for a relaxed rural town. Do not be fooled, it is one of the country's busiest and most important ports, handling 75% of India's coffee and cashew exports. The city is also the state's 'cradle of education' with over 50 different colleges. However, tourists use it mostly as a gateway to the Konkan coast and the inland Kodagu region.

Kochi is located in southwestern India on the coast of the Arabian Sea. Local attractions include Fort Kochi, St. Francis, a 16th Century Franciscan church, the Mattancherry Palace and the famous Chinese fishing nets.

There is more to Phuket than its beautiful white beaches, crystal clear waters, colorful fish and coral reefs, Phuket is full of vibrant places and great tourist attractions. In the southwest of the island is Wat Chalong, a Buddhist temple, which is a must see. Picturesque landscapes can be enjoyed at the southernmost tip of the island in the South Katas.
