San Antonio is a bustling port city in Chile's Valparaiso region. The area around it is known as the "Coast of Poets," as several famous artists and poets lived there - including Pablo Neruda. The Magellan Strait is a strait with numerous islands and side channels which connects the Pacific and Atlantic oceans. It is located between the South American mainland and the island of Tierra del Fuego and has been a Chilean territory since 1881.

The Beagle Channel Passage is distinguished by its charm and nature. A variety of animalslive here and, with luck, you can see dolphins, whales, elephant seals, sea lions and penguins. In addition, breathtaking glaciers ensures you will leave the Passage with unforgettable memories.

Situated near the southernmost point of the Patagonia region of Chile is Punta Arenas. The city sits on the banks of the Strait of Magellan, the most important natural passage connecting the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. Punta Arenas attracts many nature lovers as the city acts as a springboard into the local wilderness and Antarctica. The city boasts a memorial to the Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan at Plaza Muñoz Gamero.
