Basel is a swiss city located along the banks of the Rhine, in close proximity to both France and Germany. Basel is known for a combination of both old and new, with a substantial Old Town in addition to many urban areas. Many of the best-known attractions are located in the Old Town around the Marktplatz such as Basel's Rathaus amd the Palatine terrace, which lies on the Cathedral Hill. There are also a number of museums such as the Museum of Cultures. The Münster Cathedral offers stunning views over the city of Basel.
Breisach am Rhein is located approximately 60 kilometers north of the Swiss city of Basel. Popular destinations include the Museum of the History, which is housed in Rheintor, and Radbrunnen tower and the Hagenbach tower.
As the seat of the Council of Europe, the European Parliament and the European Court; Strasbourg is one of the most important centers of the European Unio. The French city is located near the border with Germany therefore much German influence can be seen throughout, particularly through the architecture of the city. Of particular interest is theOld Town, which is a World Heritage site and the Cathedral Square, one of Europe's most beautiful city squares. Due to the numerous channels that meander through the city and the picturesque half-timbered houses, the city offers a unique charm to visitors.
The city of Ludwigsburg is located about 12 kilometers north of Stuttgart in Baden-Wuerttemberg on a plateau of the Neckar basin. A settlement was first built here in 1709 around the castle of Duke Eberhard Ludwig and it has evolved from over the years to the large city it is today. Worth seeing, besides the baroque castle, is the palace and the park surrounding the Royal Palace (the Blooming Baroque) and the fairy garden.

Rhine Gorge also known as the Upper Middle Rhine Valley, which is located between Bingen and Koblenz. The Rhine Gorge is an ideal location for vineyards. Travelling along the Rhine River you will find old towns as well as many castles.
The town of Bernkastel-Kues is along the Moselle River in Rhineland-Palatinate. The area of Bernkastel-Kues is famous for its vineyards and is home to many well-known German wineries.

Cochem is the second smallest town in Germany and is located on the left bank of the Moselle. The Moselle Valley is synonymous with stunning natural landscapes, with the region playing host to many castles and vineyards. Near the town are the well-preserved Cochem Castle and the ruins of the Winnen castle. Cochem Castle lines the skyline above the town and offers stunning views over Cochem and the Moselle River. There are numerous hiking trails such as 'Moselhöhenweg' located in the area, some of the trails even offer particpants the option to hike through some of the vast and beautful vineyards of the region
