The second largest of the seven Ionian Islands, Corfu, is often referred to as 'the green island'. Bari has around 320,000 inhabitants and is one of the most important port and university city on the Adriatic. The National Archaeological Museum displays archaeological objects from all over Apulia. Other attractions include the Cathedral of San Sabino, chair of the bishops of Elijah and the manor house, which houses a museum with changing exhibitions.
