Thira is a Greek island located on the South Aegean Volcanic Belt. In the western part of the island, one sees clearly that is the remnant of a volcano. Olbia is one of the largest cities of Sardinia and is located in the northeast part of the island. The city lies on the Gulf of Olbia and just to the south of the famous-among-tourists coastal area of Costa Smeralda. Some typical features of the city are the narrow cozy streets and its provincial feel.
