Langkawi lies north of the Strait of Malacca, near the border between Malaysia and Thailand. The monsoon climate means the area is hot and humid all year round. Local attractions include a mangrove swamp on the east coast of the island and a black sand beach in the north.

Phuket is located in southern Thailand in the Andaman Sea. There is more to Phuket than its beautiful white beaches, crystal clear waters, colorful fish and coral reefs, Phuket is full of vibrant places and great tourist attractions. The Old Town of Galle as well as the fort built by the dutch in 1663 are both World Heritage Sites. The Galle Fort combines European and Asian art and architecture and is considered a special feature of the city.

Colombo is a popular trading port and has many attractions to offer. The most popular attraction is the town hall in the suburb of Cinnamon Gardens. Other notable buildings are located in the historic center, the fort of the city. An interesting mixture of colonial and modern architecture exists here.

Kochi is located in southwestern India on the coast of the Arabian Sea. Local attractions include Fort Kochi, St. Francis, a 16th Century Franciscan church, the Mattancherry Palace and the famous Chinese fishing nets.

The Indian port city of Mangalore is located in a picturesque lagoon on the Arabian Sea. Mangalore is heavily dotted with coconut plantations and can easily be mistaken for a relaxed rural town. Do not be fooled, it is one of the country's busiest and most important ports, handling 75% of India's coffee and cashew exports. The city is also the state's 'cradle of education' with over 50 different colleges. However, tourists use it mostly as a gateway to the Konkan coast and the inland Kodagu region.

Goa is the smallest state in India and is located centrally along the west coast of India. The surrounding area of Goa boasts a diverse landscape with its palm-lined beaches and emerald jungle. However, Goa does not only count on its nature to impress, visit some of the many impressive and well-perserved churches with their gilded altars!
