Celebrity Ascent cruises promise to take you on a culinary journey ‘like no other’. And, with 32 different food and drink experiences on board, Celebrity Ascent looks set to be a feast for the senses. Menus have been created by Cornelius Gallagher, a Michelin-starred chef who worked at Oceana in Midtown Manhattan. Guests can take a seat at 8 specialty restaurants, including Celebrity’s popular Fine Cut Steakhouse. Innovation continues with a new take on Le Petit Chef, where an Immersive experience brings animation and entertainment to your interactive table top.

As the fourth ship in Celebrity’s Edge-class, Celebrity Ascent includes the high-tech advances the series has become famous for. The incredible engineering feat of the Magic Carpet is a stunning spot to enjoy a drink. Taking a seat to enjoy live music on this cantilevered, floating platform high above sea level is a moment to remember. And you can expect innovation to be at the forefront of every entertainment option. From the Flash Flair Fusion performances of the bartenders, serving drinks under the glow of The Martini Bar’s LEDs, to the state-of-the-art Technogym in The Fitness Center, there’s a revolutionary activity for everyone. Promising more outside space, ocean views and extraordinary experiences, Celebrity Ascent looks set to wow both seasoned cruisers and cruising newcomers alike.

CABIN TYPES

The six, two-storey villas that are exclusive to Celebrity’s Edge-class may well hog the spotlight when it comes to accommodation on Celebrity Ascent, but it’s worth taking note of all of the cabins onboard. Revamps start with the single cabins – they’ve doubled in number, making solo cruise travel a little more accessible, and they come with ‘Infinite Verandas’ – a high tech feature where your cabin becomes the veranda at the touch of a button.

Upgrades range from adding the services and amenities of Concierge Class to your cabin to booking a cabin with a private veranda, an AquaClass stateroom or a suite in The Retreat. Suites feature design by Kelly Hoppen, butler service and access to The Retreat’s private restaurant, Luminae.

DESTINATIONS

Celebrity Ascent’s maiden year will start in the turquoise waters of the Caribbean. Leaving her home port in Fort Lauderdale, she’ll sail on 7 night itineraries that cruise to the beaches of the Eastern Caribbean, with ports in St Maarten, St Thomas and Puerto Plata. Celebrity Ascent cruises will also sail to the Bahamas, the Mexican Riviera and Grand Cayman, along with ports in the St Nevis and St Kitts, where passengers can wander among French and English colonial architecture, browse the markets for artisanal clothing or scale the islands’ peaks among exotic plants and lush greenery.
