The second largest of the seven Ionian Islands, Corfu, is often referred to as 'the green island'. Sami is on the north-east coast of Kefalonia, 20 km from the capital Argostoli and is a busy port as well as being a picturesque town. On the waterfront promenade there are many bars, tavernas and restaurants where you will also find some fresh fish from the local fishing boats.

With an estimated 295,000 inhabitants, Catania is the second largest city in Sicily. It is mostly built in the style of the Roman Baroque and the area still reflects this era today in its churches, palaces and other buildings.
