The capital of Dominica, Roseau is a bustling city known for its lively downtown and its industrial port. Antigua is an island in the West Indies in the Caribbean region and it is the main island of the country of Antigua and Barbuda. Antigua means "ancient" in Spanish and was named by Christopher Columbus. In 1784 Admiral Horatio Nelson sailed to Antigua where he found warm, steady winds, a coastline of safe harbours, and a protective coral reef: the perfect environment to establish Great Britain's most important Caribbean base. Over 200 years later the same characteristics that attracted the Royal Navy have transformed Antigua in one of the Caribbean's premier tourist destinations.

Virgin Gorda is the third largest island of the British Virgin Islands and has a population of around 3000. The island’s name comes from the Spanish for “Fat Lady” as Christopher Columbus described the island as looking similar to a plump woman lying on her back. The island contains unique granite formations of volcanic origin, the so-called “bathroom” (“The Baths”), and an important building on the island is the copper mine.
