Thira is a Greek island located on the South Aegean Volcanic Belt. In the western part of the island, one sees clearly that is the remnant of a volcano. The crater rim, and other spectacular sights, testify to the volcanic eruption that occurred about 1600 years BC. The inhabited parts of the island are known for their beautiful white villages with colorful shutters and blue domes. Kusadasi lies on the Turkish Aegean coast with about 59,000 inhabitants. Numerous sandy beaches are located in and around Kusadasi. The highlight of Kusadasi is, without doubt, the ruins of Ephesus. One of the oldest, largest and most important cities of Asia Minor, is located there. Kusadasi has an electric nightlife with the aegean party scene along with irish pubs and multilingual tours.

The Cycladic island of Mykonos is one of Greece's most popular holiday destinations. The island enchants visitors with its cute colorful fishing boats, windmills,museums, churches and architecture.

Kavala is a city in northern Greece with about 74 000 inhabitants. It is a commercial port city and has been the twin city of Nuremberg since 1998. Sights worth seeing in Kavala are the two-storied aqueduct (ancient water pipe) from the the time of the Romans and the citadel of the 16th Century.

The Greek city of Thessaloniki was included on the UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988 and is one of the most modern and important cities of the country. In Thessaloniki you will find a number of attractions including landmarks such as the White Tower and buildings from early Christian, Byzantine and Ottoman periods.

The small port town of Nafplio is situated on the Greek Peloponnese Peninsula. Briefly, it was even capital of Greece. Visitors should see the Vouleftikon, the location of Greece's first parliament.
