The Seto Inland Sea, also known as the Seto Inland Sea, is an inland sea framed by three large islands (Kyushu, Honshu and Shikoku) in southwestern Japan and connected to the Pacific Ocean by only four narrow waterways. Approximately 727 small islands lie in the middle of the Seto Inland Sea. Many of these fascinating islands can be easily explored by bike and are connected by small bridges.

The original Hiroshima Castle (called Carp Castle),was destroyed in 1945 by the atomic bombing.
