This morning transfer to Tokyo Train Station for a Shinkansen ride to Odawara. Reboard the coach and briefly visit Odawara Castle. Then drive to Mt Fuji’s 5th Station. Located 2300m above sea level, it offers a vantage point for Mt Fuji and the surrounding lakes (weather permitting). The 5th Station also features shrines, torii gates and souvenir shops. Afterwards continue onwards to Lake Ashi, nearby in Hakone National Park, to admire the scenery as you take a short cruise across the lake. The waters are overlooked by surrounding mountains, including Mt Fuji and Mt Komagatake. Stay overnight in the region and enjoy a delicious Japanese dinner. (B,D)

In Hiroshima, due to the Second World War, the are many war monuments and memorials such as the Peace Park, the Peace Tower, and a peace museum. The original Hiroshima Castle (called Carp Castle),was destroyed in 1945 by the atomic bombing. However, it was reconstructed in the 50's and now houses a museum of the history of Hiroshima before World War II.
