Port Louis is the capital of Mauritius and is located in the Indian Ocean. With a population of around 170 000, the city is the largest as well as the cultural and economic center of the country. Visit the Meenakshi Hindu temple or the UNESCO World Heritage Immigration Depot, the remains of which used to be a camp for Indian laborers in the 19th century and should be on top of your to-visit list.

Port d'Ehola, formerly Fort Dauphin, is situated in the city of Tolagnaro on the southeast coast of Madagascar. In the past a French settlement area, today it hosts important international non-governmental organizations and brilliantly scenic views.

The city of Toliara lies at the mouth of the Fiherenana and Onilahy rivers. Since the city is a popular commercial area thanks to its port, the city has several small markets on offer. There are also some excellent beaches to be found just to the north of the city.

Maputo is the capital of Mozambique, located on the Delagoa Bay. A particularly beautiful building in the city is the Portuguese fort built in 1787. With its unique sandy beaches, Maputo offers a gorgeous scenery, perfect for swimming and tanning.
